About The Painting
The Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), are nesting in the treetops at Skirmish Point, Bribie Island.
After the week of stormy weather raking the eastern coastline, the morning has finally dawned a peaceful warm glowing sunny day.
The warm sunlight also shows the results of the storm damage, in fallen trees and washed away beach sands.
A local fisherman decided to investigate the storm damage. So he left his catch secure and pulled his boat up onto the shore.
The osprey circle and hover above it, swooping and diving, hoping that the catch of fish in the boat may be an easy food source.
