About The Painting
The native Galahs, (Eolophus roseicapilla), become flashes of pink as they wheel in flight, revealing the beautiful pink under-feathers. They are on the waterfront of Pacific Harbour, along from Sylvan Beach. This has become a great walking area and also a favourite spot especially under the pergola for outdoor wedding ceremonies and other special occasions
The surrounding peaceful waterfront bush, sailing boats, and beautiful water views of the Pumicestone Passage are framed in the distance by Bribie Bridge, and is also known as the gateway to the Island.
