About The Painting
Dawn has broken, warm sunlight filters over the Glass House Mountains on the horizon. A new day begins for the local Pelicans (Pelecanus conspicillatus), and seagull (Silver gull -Larus novaehollandiae).Both being very social birds, they can be found in various groups along the waterfront beaches and wharfs, where they can sit on the boats and maybe get a fish thrown to them by generous fishermen after cleaning their catch.Today they have chosen to meet on the foreshore, a short distance from the VMR and Seaclusion Cafe- Sylvan Beach, another of their favourite daily haunts.
