About The Painting
It is almost sun set at White Patch – Bribie Island, and the local fishermen have packed up their rod kits and gone home with their catch, leaving their boat well anchored and pulled up on the rippled sands of low tide.
Pelicans (Pelecanus conspicillatus), find a quiet spot to roost for the night and all around them is calm, peaceful and quiet. The sun sinks into the horizon throwing pink and apricot tones into the sky and on the calm water.A perfect scene and a perfect way to end another perfect day.
