About The Painting
This painting was created especially for the book cover of the publication called *The Resting Place*, by Gerritje Galloway.
This is a surreal artwork, capturing an imaginative interpretation of the Aboriginal *Old Man Time*. Surrounded by vivid sunset skies at dusk, this Great Ancestral Spirit overlooks the Australian Queensland Bush.
The book tells the true story of the customs and culture of the local Pre-European Indigenous Landowners of the Gubba Gubba Tribe who resided on the lands surrounding Bribie Island. Jackie Delaney is just one of the true characters in this book along with the local European landowners and rulers of that time.
